This page explains what PDFlyHQ stores in your browser and why. In short: nothing that identifies you, and nothing used for tracking or advertising.

What we actually use

PDFlyHQ does not set tracking, advertising, or analytics cookies — in fact, it does not use traditional server-issued cookies for these purposes at all. The only browser storage we use is localStorage, a browser-side mechanism that never transmits data back to our server. We use it for exactly two things:

• Remembering that you've responded to the cookie banner, so we don't ask again on every visit.
• Remembering small, anonymous UI preferences — such as a tool's last-used setting — purely to make the tool more convenient to use.

What we don't use

• No advertising or retargeting cookies.
• No third-party analytics scripts — see our Privacy Policy for why.
• No cookies or storage tied to the files you process — your files never leave your browser in the first place.

Managing this

Because we don't use tracking cookies, there's nothing to opt out of beyond the local preferences above. You can clear them at any time through your browser's site settings, or by clearing local storage for pdflyhq.com. Declining the cookie banner only affects whether we remember that choice — it doesn't change how PDFlyHQ processes your files, since that never touches our server either way.

Changes to this policy

If PDFlyHQ ever adopts analytics or advertising cookies, this page will be updated first, with a clear description of what's added and why.
