Privacy Policy

PDFlyHQ ("we", "our") is built around one rule: your files never leave your device. That isn't a promise we're asking you to trust blindly — it's how the product is built. This page explains, plainly, what that means and what little data is involved anywhere else.

Your files

Every PDF tool on this site runs entirely inside your browser using client-side JavaScript. When you drop a file into a tool, it is read, processed, and converted on your own device. At no point is the file content uploaded, transmitted, or stored on our servers. We have no way to see, access, or recover a file you process here — we simply never receive it.

Accounts

PDFlyHQ does not currently have user accounts, sign-up, or login. We do not collect names, email addresses, or passwords. If that ever changes, this policy will be updated before any such feature launches, and any account data collected will be described here explicitly.

Cookies and local storage

We do not use tracking or advertising cookies. The only data we store in your browser is a small, anonymous preference flag — for example, whether you've dismissed the cookie banner, or a tool's last-used setting. This information stays on your device and is never sent to us. See our Cookie Policy for details.

Server logs

Like virtually every website, our web server automatically records basic technical information for each page request — your IP address, browser type, the page requested, and the time of the request. This is standard server operation used only for security and troubleshooting, such as detecting abuse or diagnosing outages. It is not linked to any file you process, and we do not use it for tracking or advertising.

Third-party services

All fonts, icons, and JavaScript libraries used by PDFlyHQ are self-hosted. We do not load scripts, fonts, or trackers from third-party CDNs, and we do not currently use any third-party analytics service. If that ever changes, this policy will be updated first.

Children's privacy

PDFlyHQ is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, regardless of age — the architecture described above applies equally to every visitor.

Changes to this policy

If we ever change how PDFlyHQ handles data, we'll update this page and change the "last updated" date above. Significant changes — such as introducing accounts or server-side processing for a specific feature — will be called out clearly on the affected tool's own page, not buried here.
